Glentress Bike Hire is e-bike and mountain bike hire at the Riders Retreat, right at the foot of the Glentress trails. Located in the heart of the beautiful Scottish Borders, we provide a convenient and eco-friendly way to explore the stunning countryside and scenic trails of the region.

Glentress is one of the 7stanes centres, with everything from green family loops to the black. On an e-bike you get round a lot more of it in a day — the climbs stop being the thing that decides where you ride, and you spend your time on the descents instead.

Every bike is charged, sized and safety-checked before you arrive, and a helmet and parking are included. If you have never ridden an e-bike, we will set it up and show you how it works before you head out. If you have, we will point you at the trails worth your time that day.

Here at Ebike Hire Scotland we aren’t like all the other Hire places, whose ultimate goal is to try and sell you a high end Ebike.

Our mission is to let people experience the joy that is Ebiking, while exploring all the stunning scenery and history that the Tweed Valley has to offer. Never before has it been easier to get deep into nature, and see what those views you might have imagined from the hill tops actually look like.

Service & Maintenance

  • All of our ebikes are serviced regularly

  • A full safety check is undertaken before every hire

  • Regular checks of the battery are undertaken
